A little slow and predictable, but not bad for the immediate post-war period. From the beginning, some of the clues are revealed, after the murders in the show, when Falcon Magistrate walks with the beautiful Oyo and they are attacked with darts or knives and one of the dying men tells him that he was poisoned, just as the carpenters will be poisoned at the end when they have fulfilled their role of erecting the enormous pulley or bolt of the Nikko construction project that Rokugo Chikuzen was in charge of.

And so, after murdering Oyo, Falcon (Toyama Kinshiro) disguises himself as a worker and calls himself Jingoro to work on the enormous pieces of the giant clock made with instructions high up on the mountain to cause a loud noise throughout Japan from there, assassinate the Shogun and take over the government. Impersonating the carpenter Jingoro, he befriends and even forms a relationship with the beautiful Ohan, who sooner or later realises that he is not a normal carpenter, but does not betray him because she sympathises with him.

However, after poisoning the seven carpenters at their dinner, just as they had finished their work, Kinshiro is surrounded and discovered, so he takes off his overalls, revealing his chest and shoulders covered in tattoos, and adds, ‘Repent for your crimes.’ Somehow, he manages to escape with his life from this conspiracy to overthrow the government, thanks also to the impetuous Nezumi.

Therefore, after reviewing all the facts and misdeeds, it is no surprise that the key witness is the magistrate himself, who worked there as a carpenter. One by one, Chikuzen unmasks them with his 20,000 kokus. Dissatisfied with the Shogun, he took part in the plot, denying the accusations by delegating them to his advisor Torahime, another small-time crook. Torahime denounced his subordinate Tobei, and so on, they all denied everything until the solemn magistrate forced Chikuzen, who was already preparing to leave the premises, to sit down. Kinshiro then bared his shoulder and revealed the cherry blossom tattoos. After the case was closed, the women and all those who lived with the undercover magistrate thought that he definitely lived in another world, and so they never went into details about their lives with each other.
